Activate America is a YMCA initiative that addresses the nation's growing health crisis.   The YMCA is engaging communities across the country to better support Americans of all ages who struggle to achieve and maintain well-being of spirit, mind and body. 

The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is focusing on all aspects of engaging children, youth, teens, adults and families in their pursuit of health and well-being through supportive relationships and welcoming environments. 

Statistics:

• In the last 10 years, obesity rates in the United States have increased 60%
• More than 60% of US adults do not get enough physical activity to make a difference in their health
• The current generation of American children could be the first to lead shorter lives then their parents, according to the New England Journal of Medicine
