Does the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne help those in financial need?
The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne has a commitment that “No one is turned away due to inability to pay.” All Y members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they are receiving financial assistance. The Y maintains confidentiality of all financial information received in the application process.
To apply for financial assistance, visit the Member Services desk of your local branch. Please bring proof of your total household income when you come to join the YMCA. We need a copy of your most recent tax return and most recent 30 days of pay stubs or proof of unemployment as well as documentation of any other forms of income or assistance. You may fill out a form in branch or download and print the financial assistance form here. Please contact your local YMCA branch if you have questions about the approval process.
Our annual Strong Kids Campaign raises funds to help provide financial assistance to those who would benefit from programs and services, but cannot afford them. If you would like to make a gift to support the campaign, please contact Nicole Liddell at (260) 918-2144.
