Strengthening our community.

At the Y, strengthening communities is our cause, by offering affordable childcare to low- and middle-income families, by developing intervention programs for at-risk youth, by helping military families cope with having a family member overseas, and through so many other programs that promote a healthy spirit, mind and body. Our nine branches in the greater Fort Wayne association are each a necessity in helping improve the quality of life for those in our community.

The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of our dedicated volunteers and generous public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage.


The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
