Grant Funding Support

As a non-profit organization, the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne relies on the generosity of
donors and grant funders to continue carrying out our mission through programs and facilities. 

Thank you to our most recent grant funders:

Stephan Family Community Needs Fund – Enabling the YMCA Youth Service Bureau to provide comprehensive crisis and intervention services to at-risk youth and their families is the purpose of a $2,500 grant.

Howard P. Arnold Foundation - Delivering financial assistance to children and families in need in the form of reduced membership rates or program fees is the purpose of a $1,000 grant for the 2018 Annual Campaign.

Foellinger Foundation – Increasing the Y’s organizational effectiveness through staff development is the purpose of a $20,000 three year project support grant.

Lincoln Financial Foundation - Providing youth with educational opportunities that the traditional classroom does not offer is the purpose of a $42,000 grant from the Lincoln Financial Foundation. These funds support the Outdoor Education program at YMCA Camp Potawotami, Summer Day Camp at the Renaissance Pointe Y, and the Before and After School program at Southwick Elementary.

St. Joseph Community Health Foundation – Providing therapeutic assessments for YMCA Youth Service Bureau at-risk youth who do not have health insurance is the purpose of a $1,500 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation.

Zollner Foundation - Providing northeast Fort Wayne residents the opportunity to build healthy spirit, mind and body is the purpose of a $30,000 grant to support the construction of the Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA, which opened on June 5, 2017. This is the Foundation’s fourth gift, bringing their total support for the project to $260,000.
