Where Care Meets Achievement

The YMCA offers several Preschool Programs. Whether you're a parent looking to learn how to best prepare your young one for school, or looking for a fun, enriching place for your child to spend time after school until you get off work, the YMCA has programs aimed at helping to give your child the best chance at a bright future. 

CCDF vouchers are accepted at select locations. Contact your local branch for more information. We offer financial assistance so that finances are not a barrier.


Early Learning Centers

 

Two YMCA Early Learning Centers offer care for youngsters age 6 wks - 6 yrs in Wells and Whitley counties. Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA ELC offers care from 6am - 6pm and Whitley County Family YMCA ELC offers care from 6:30am - 6pm. Children in our licensed programs are surrounded by nurturing role models who help them learn and thrive in a safe environment. Our staff specializes in early childhood education and designs age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate children's minds throughout a fun and creative day. Part-time and full-time care is offered – available based on enrollment.

Preschool Y Care for Fort Wayne Community Schools

The YMCA partners with Fort Wayne Community Schools to supplement FWCS's half-day preschool programs. If your child attends FWCS, they may take attend Y Care for the other portion of the day. Please note that the Preschool Y Care program takes place at a few select Fort Wayne Community School locations. FWCS provides transportation to these locations.
