The infant program provides a nurturing environment that fosters a child’s needs of attachment, movement, and opportunities to engage all senses that support developmental growth. Infants develop secure attachments by having attentive caregivers who love and nurture them.

Infants learn through movement when given the opportunity to freely explore. Each infant has personal preferences as it relates to their senses. Infants use their senses both to get acquainted with the space around them and to make connections to how life relates to them.

Families

We ask that families support the child’s need for routine by offering them a consistent daily schedule and the need for attachment by taking part in open, daily communication with the infant’s special caregiver.

Caregivers

Caregivers observe infants interacting with the space around them, the materials, and other children to gain a deeper understanding about the children’s individual developmental needs. Caregivers will build secure attachments with infants through intentional and nurturing interactions, and respond to a child’s cues.
