Students must be currently enrolled in Y Care. Space is limited.
After School Options
Providing today's children with opportunities to continue to learn and engage in meaningful activities at the end of the day can boost their academic success. The Y helps to fill the gap by offering several After School options.
Fort Wayne Community Schools (Preschool)
We partner with Fort Wayne Community Schools to offer before and after school care for preschoolers.
School Age Child Care (Kindergarten - 6th grade)
The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne provides quality school-age after school programs on our YMCA and school campuses. We partner with 12 different school systems in Allen, Wells, and Whitley Counties.
Afterschool Club For Teens (ACT) at Jorgensen (6-8th grade)
Afterschool Club for Teens is an afterschool program at Jorgensen Family YMCA for middle schoolers that offers transportation from school, and freedom to choose from a variety of activities, with homework support available.
T.A.S.S. at Renaissance Pointe (6th - 12th grade)
The Afterschool Spot is designed to help teens thrive in life. We offer academic support, service learning, and life skills development. We have a variety of fun engaging activities from the culinary arts to hip hop dance. Limited transportation provided. For more information, contact Gralan Early at 260.755.4881.
Teen Leadership (6th - 12th grade)
The YMCA Leaders Club, for youth in grades 6-12, teaches teens leadership training and emphasizes the importance of social responsibility and service to others. With adult advisors, teens have role models and mentors who positively impact their lives as they grow in their desire and ability to be a positive force in the community. Integrative Arts enhance YMCA pre-K, After school and select summer day camp programs by offering children opportunities for creative expression. By collaborating with local artists and arts groups, these traditional programs are infused with music, dance, drumming, photography and creative writing which enrich the overall experience of each child.
