Cancer is a life-changing disease that takes a tremendous physical and emotional toll on those affected. The Y and the LIVESTRONG Foundation have joined together to create LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a research-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors reclaim their total health. The YMCA has a long history of teaching swim lessons. Our swim curriculum is based on extensive research, and we look forward to seeing swimmers advance quickly through the stages. Our curriculum helps each participant experience a sense of accomplishment after each lesson and build relationships with other swimmers in their class. Want a place to hangout, play games and make new friends? We have the
solution for you! At the end of each month, we will be holding “Friday Night Live”, an interactive night for teens in grades 6th to 12th grade to engage each other in basketball, dodge ball, video games, and dancing.
