Grant Funding Support

As a non-profit organization, the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne relies on the generosity of
donors and grant funders to continue carrying out our mission through programs and facilities.

Thank you to our most recent grant funders:

St. Joseph Community Health Foundation:
Providing intensive long-term mentoring, education and support to vulnerable youth to help them create a path to success is the purpose of a $33,000 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation. These services are part of the YMCA Youth Service Bureau’s Youth Advocacy and LifeG.A.R.D. (Guidance, Accountability, Relationships, Development) initiatives.

Dr. Louis and Anne B. Schneider Foundation:
Providing arts and cultural opportunities to children and teens who participate in YMCA After School, Pre-K and Summer Day Camp programs is the purpose of a $20,000 grant to support the Integrative Arts Program.

Wells Fargo Foundation:
Enabling the YMCA Youth Service Bureau to provide comprehensive crisis and intervention services to at-risk youth and their families is the purpose of a $1,000 Volunteer Service Award in recognition of former Board Chair Mary Bell’s service to the Y.  Mary provided tremendous leadership as the Chief Volunteer Officer and was the catalyst behind our Hope for Youth initiative, which is changing the lives of so many at-risk youth.

Providing the lead gift for the new Youth Development Endowment Fund is the purpose of a $25,000 grant. This fund will support youth programs that take a prevention approach, reaching out to youth before problems occur.

Grant news is updated quarterly.
