Grant Funding Support
As a non-profit organization, the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne relies on the generosity of
donors and grant funders to continue carrying out our mission through programs and facilities. For

JCPenney Afterschool Access Grant, whose $5,000 grants to Renaissance Pointe’s and
ChildCare Services’ afterschool programs will make safe afterschool care possible for families in need.
The Foellinger Foundation, which granted $964,600 over the next 4 years for operating support, funding for capital improvements at Camp Potawotami, and funding to strengthen the Y’s organizational effectiveness.
The Fred Zollner Foundation, which granted $16,000 to alleviate operational expenses and allowing us to continue making an impact in our community.
The Olin B. and Desta Schwab Foundation granted $10,975 for the Team SOS program at Renaissance Pointe YMCA.
The Edward M. & Mary McCrea Wilson Foundation, whose $50,000 grant will help us make a Y facility in Wells County a reality.
The Schneider Foundation, whose generous $25,000 grant will provide continued support for unique music and arts education at the Renaissance Pointe Arts Academy.
The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, whose $19,445 support will
allow the Obesity Wellness Network and
YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention program to reach out and help at-risk individuals in our community adopt healthier lifestyles.
Wells County Foundation, which granted $25,000 toward the construction of the outdoor playground for the childcare center at the new Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA in Wells County.
