The YMCA has a long history of teaching swim lessons. Our swim curriculum is based on extensive research, and we look forward to seeing swimmers advance quickly through the stages. Our curriculum helps each participant experience a sense of accomplishment after each lesson and build relationships with other swimmers in their class. For more information click here or visit your branch.

CHILD CARE AT THE Y:
Wells County Early Learning Center
(offering care to children 6 weeks – 5 years old)
We know that children’s experiences, both at home and in our Early Learning Center, are the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. The YMCA Early Learning Center partners with parents to provide a safe and nurturing educational environment that promotes a child’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development.
Our hands-on, child-centered, play-based program engages children in experiences that are relevant and meaningful. Children are given the freedom to laugh and play while engaging in child-centered activities, such as easel painting, sensory play, color mixing, counting and weighing objects, performing science experiments, playing games, playing dress-up, building with blocks and more.
Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is biblically-based and non-denominational. It is unique to the YMCA ELC and implemented with attention to the needs and differences of your child and your family. Our program meets the requirements of the Indiana Foundations and prepares children for the next stages of learning.
