We believe that no one should be turned away due to inability to pay. The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is a non-profit organization committed to strengthening the foundations of our community, one child at a time. Our annual Annual Campaign is a Y initiative that provides scholarships for programs and memberships to children and families in need.
All Y members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they are receiving financial assistance, which takes into consideration family size and household income. The Y maintains confidentiality of all financial information received in the application process.
To apply for financial assistance, visit the Member Services desk of your local branch. Please bring proof of your total household income when you come to join the YMCA. We need a copy of your most recent tax return and most recent 30 days of pay stubs or proof of unemployment as well as documentation of any other forms of income or assistance. You may fill out a form in a branch or download and print the financial assistance form (English or Spanish). Please contact your local YMCA branch if you have questions about the approval process.
