Helping our community live better.
Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.
Whether you’re reconnecting with family members during Y Family Night, learning how to combat Type II Diabetes in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program, discovering new skills in a class or sports league, or simply burning off a few pesky calories in pilates, the Y is a place where you can make yourself healthier every day—and in every respect.

The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne and Greater Fort Wayne Inc. are excited to present the 2015 YMCA Workplace Wellness Awards. As an integral part of supporting our community’s health, the YMCA encourages employers to address employee well-being. The goal of our 2015 YMCA Workplace Wellness Awards is to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of incorporating successful wellness programs at area companies. By participating, you will learn about potential ways to incorporate additional wellness initiatives at your workplace, as well as have the opportunity to share ideas, successes and challenges with other companies in the greater Fort Wayne community.
The entire process is an educational experience that benefits businesses regardless of their current stage in wellness development.
The YMCA has developed the Workplace Wellness Awards to recognize all participating companies for their dedication to improving healthy living while addressing the areas of administrative support, health promotion, physical activity opportunities and nutrition.
For more information on the Workplace Wellness Awards, contact Natalie Woods, Corporate Membership Director, at (260) 918-2149.
